(Minor) (MINOR) for undergraduate students

Additional Educational Program (minor) (minor)– a set of disciplines and (or) modules and other types of educational work, determined by the student to study in order to form additional competencies. (Rules for the organization of the educational process on credit technology of education in organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education, Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 20, 2011 No. 152. (with amendments and additions as of 09/23/2022 No. 79.)

The Minor is offered for students to choose at the end of the 1st year. When determining an individual learning trajectory, 1 Minor must be selected. The Minor is studied in the 2nd and 3rd year of the Bachelor's degree.

Minor Features:

- studied in the second and third years of Bachelor's degree;

- consists of three disciplines studied sequentially;

- labor intensity of 15 credits (labor intensity of each discipline is 5 credits);

- labor intensity is included in the main part of the educational program (credits for Minor subjects are included in 240 credits of the main program);

- selected by the student of each educational program independently from the general list of the Minor catalog;

- Minor disciplines are held simultaneously: they are assigned a specific day of classes in the schedule.
