Prospects for the development of ITU

The Sherkhan Murtaza International Taraz University is focused on strategic development in line with national and global priorities, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the modern concept of higher education development and its own strategic plan.

1. Strengthening academic capacity and the quality of education. Developing modern educational programmes, integrating digital technologies and actively introducing distance and blended learning to train qualified specialists who are competitive in the global labour market.

2. Development of research and innovation. Creation and support of research centres, development of interdisciplinary projects, stimulation of innovative activity aimed at solving pressing social and economic problems in the region and the country.

3. Strengthening international cooperation and partnerships. Expanding the network of international academic and research partnerships, exchanging experience and jointly training personnel in accordance with international quality standards.

4. Developing infrastructure and digital transformation. Modernising material and technical resources, introducing modern laboratories and digital platforms for teaching and research, and ensuring sustainable and environmentally friendly infrastructure.

5. Creating an inclusive and active student environment. Supporting student initiatives, developing social partnership programmes, strengthening the system of student self-government and volunteering as the basis for social responsibility and civic engagement.

6. Contributing to sustainable development and social well-being. Active participation of the university in the implementation of the SDGs through educational and scientific projects aimed at protecting the environment, improving the quality of life and equal opportunities for all participants in the educational process.
