About the center
Since 2009, the Sherkhantanu Research Center has been successfully operating at Taraz University of Innovation and Humanities.
From 2009 to 2011, the center was headed by Ph.D., Professor S. Kulbarak, from 2011 to the present, the center is headed by A. Kembayeva. Since September 2020, the center has been transformed into the Sherkhantanu and Rukhani Zhangyru Research Center.
The goals and objectives of the center
The purpose of the scientific research center "Sherkhantanu and Rukhani Zhangyru", operating at the Taraz Innovation and Humanitarian University, is to conduct design and research work on the work of the National writer, famous public figure, pride of the people of Sh.Murtaza and organize joint work with scientists researching his creative activities. The main tasks of the center are to establish a close relationship with the writer, collect important materials related to his creative laboratory, as well as, if possible, hold meetings and conversations with writers and his associates, obtain information about his writing, writing famous works and ways to search in creativity, timely publication and access to a valuable archive source.
In addition to conducting research, one of the main tasks is to involve students in scientific work. In this regard, students are offered coursework, diploma and master's theses on the creative work of Sh.Murtaza, with the participation of famous writers, organized the regional literary contest "Sherkhanov readings". In order to fulfill the tasks set by the Head of State in the program article "Bolashak Bagdar: Rukhani Zhangyru" in 2020, the center was staffed like the Research and Development Center "Sherkhantanu and Rukhani Zhangyru".
Scientific direction of the center:
The work of the center is not limited to the study of the work of the national writer Sh.Murtaza. To date, the Research Center "Sherkhantanu and Rukhani Zhangyru" is also engaged in the study of artistic and historical figures at the regional level, as well as general problems in the field of literary activity.
Achievements of the center
The Sherkhantanu Center, established in 2009, is still doing a lot of work. In 2010, the 1st book of the collection of multi-volume works "Kazaktyn Sheragasy" was published. Based on the archival materials accumulated at the center, 2 photo albums were produced. In addition, the 2nd book of the philosophical work "Bir Kem Dunie" has been released in an amount of 1000 copies. To mark the 80th anniversary of the writer's birth, 2 collections of the republican conference "The work of Sherkhan Murtaza and Kazakh Rukhaniyaty", 5 collections of the work of young poets "Tauelsizdik Zholy", "Tarikhka tagzym" were released, and most importantly, for the first time in Kazakhstan, the textbook "Sherkhantanu" was published. In this regard, at the initiative of the Sherkhantanu Center, the Sherkhantanu course has been introduced and studied in many schools of the Zhambyl region since 2018.
Sherkhantanu is a unique place of education and science, verbal art, search and labor. The Center regularly plans and holds events, contests, aitys, and meetings on various topics. Many of them are dedicated to 1st year students to adapt to university life. The students who won prizes at such competitions were awarded special diplomas, valuable prizes, and most importantly, a "Sherkhan Scholarship" to a student who works closely with the center and penetrates deeply into the writer's work.
One of the main objectives of the center is to involve students in scientific work. Students are offered topics for their term papers, theses, and master's theses on the life and work of Sh. Murtaza. To date, about 20 diploma and master's theses have been successfully defended. In addition, "Sherkhan Murtaza Lessons" will be organized for students with the participation of famous writers, as well as local literary figures.
The number of participants in the traditional republican contest "Sherkhan okulary", held by the Research and Development Center "Sherkhantanu and Rukhani Zhangyru" within the framework of the Bolashakka Bagdar: Rukhani Zhangyru program, is about 1,000 students per year. The winner of the grand Prix of the competition receives a "Grant from the rector of TIGU", 2nd place-50%, 3rd place-25% discount on tuition.
