FRIENDLY VISIT TO LANZHOU UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY: NEW PROSPECTS FOR ACADEMIC COOPERATION

Representatives of Sherkhan Murtaza International Taraz University paid a friendly visit to Lanzhou University of Technology, People’s Republic of China.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas for developing academic and research cooperation between the two universities. Particular attention was given to organizing winter and summer schools for students, expanding academic mobility, strengthening cooperation in information technology, and exploring opportunities to develop joint and dual-degree educational programs.

In light of the growing industrial potential of the Zhambyl Region and the establishment of new production facilities, the prospective regional demand for engineering and technical professionals was also highlighted. In this context, the possibility of gradually developing technical and engineering fields at the University by drawing on Lanzhou University of Technology’s expertise in engineering education and applied research was proposed for further consideration.

The parties expressed their interest in further identifying priority areas of cooperation, examining the compatibility of academic programs, and developing practical mechanisms for future collaboration.

The friendly visit provided a foundation for strengthening academic dialogue between the two universities and identifying new opportunities for long-term partnership in education, research, and innovation.
