Erasmus+ KA171 Call for Applications: Short-Term Student Mobility for Traineeships at Karadeniz Technical University (Türkiye).
International Taraz University named after Sherkhan Murtaza announces a call for applications for the Erasmus+ KA171 Short-Term Incoming Student Mobility for Traineeships hosted by Karadeniz Technical University, Türkiye.
This mobility is organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Project (Project No. 2025-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000327950) and aims to promote intercultural learning, academic exchange, and international cooperation between partner universities.
The programme provides students with the opportunity to gain international academic and professional experience through a short-term traineeship at the host institution.
Programme Format
The mobility consists of two components:
Virtual Component
8–12 June 2026
Physical Mobility at Karadeniz Technical University, Türkiye
15–25 June 2026
Travel days:
Arrival – 14 June 2026
Departure – 26 June 2026
During the mobility period, students will participate in professional training activities related to their field of study. Students will not attend academic courses and will not receive ECTS credits. The programme focuses on practical professional experience in an international academic environment.
Number of Available Places
3 students from International Taraz University named after Sherkhan Murtaza will be nominated for participation in this programme.
Eligible Fields of Study
Applications are open only to students studying in the following academic fields:
Computer Science
Computer Engineering
Biology
Chemistry
Mathematics
Forest Industry Engineering
Forestry Engineering
History
Only students enrolled in these programmes at International Taraz University named after Sherkhan Murtaza are eligible to apply.
Financial Support
Selected students will receive Erasmus+ mobility grants provided by the project coordinator:
Individual support: 79 EUR per day (from the 5th day to the 14th day of mobility)
Travel support according to Erasmus+ distance band regulations.
The grant includes individual support and travel support in accordance with Erasmus+ programme rules.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be officially enrolled at International Taraz University named after Sherkhan Murtaza in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral programme
Have completed at least one academic semester at the home institution
Have a minimum cumulative GPA:
2.20 / 4.00 for undergraduate students
2.50 / 4.00 for master’s or doctoral students
Demonstrate B2 level proficiency in English or Turkish

Copy of Passport
Language Certificate confirming B2 level (English or Turkish)
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated by a university selection committee based on the following criteria:
Academic Performance (GPA) – 60%
Language Proficiency – 40%
The nominated candidates will be submitted to Karadeniz Technical University for final evaluation and confirmation.

Students must submit their applications to the Office of Science and International Relations within the indicated application period.
